I have been a classroom teacher since 1994, beginning my career at South Brunswick High School then moving to the Monmouth County Vocational School District in 1997. I was one of the original staff members at the Academy of Allied Health and Science, before moving to Communications High School where I have been a junior English teacher since 2012.
Cheryl Vetser is a highly enthusiastic, compassionate, and student-centered educator
who continually seeks to expose her students to the "fun and practical" side of mathematics. Mrs. Vetser earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics from the College of Staten Island. She just celebrated her nineteenth year as an education professional teaching math at both the high school and college levels. Mrs. Vetser is experienced in helping students understand mathematical concepts and developing interest for the subject. Some of her areas of expertise include, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Financial Literacy and Statistics to name just a few. Mrs. Vetser regularly volunteers her time to tutor students both in and outside of the classroom. She takes pleasure in fund raising and coordinating events of all types. In her spare time, she enjoys, reading, solving sudoku puzzles, doing Yoga and playing tennis.
